A veteran detective comes out of retirement to solve a string of unsolved murders.
A new cop fresh out of the academy gets assigned a collection of unsolved murder cases. The cop finds out the detective behind the cases retired after a serious head injury. The retired detective comes out of retirement to solve the murder cases. Will his loss of memory make it impossible to solve the murders?

Director Ethan Clerc returns with a crime thriller.
19 year old director, Ethan Clerc, is back with Cottonwood. This will be Clerc's 4th feature film. Clerc released he first feature Mousetrap in 2013 with an extremely low budget of $655. Clerc then released Mousetrap 2 in 2014 with a budget of $1776. Clerc's most recent film, Sundog came out in January of 2016 with a budget of $5600. Clerc also has a YouTube channel, jack102597, with over 120 short films and over 8 million views.

Clerc is currently attending Columbia College Chicago to study film. He plans to film Cottonwood over the summer of 2017. It is an extremely ambitious project and it all starts here with the funding.
