Thanks so much to everyone who has donated! We have a long ways to go, but I know we can do this! Today's story is how the famous comic Little Orphan Annie and my 2nd feature film, Mousetrap 2 are related. Not a lot of people know this, but the artist behind Little Orphan Annie, Ted Slampyak, worked on Mousetrap 2. He drew storyboards for part of the film. Ted has also done storyboards for other films and TV shows like Breaking Bad and Blood Brothers. You might be asking: How did a 16 year old film maker with no budget at all get a well known storyboard and comic strip artist to work on his film? Well I just sent him an email and asked him. He replied saying he would help us out.
Ted is an awesome guy and very busy for that matter. He was only able to help with part of the film, but it was still awesome to work with him. Check out Ted's work here.
Lesson I learned: Never hurts to ask. Some of my best connections came from taking a chance and asking for a favor.
Check out some of the storyboards Ted did for my film, Mousetrap 2, below!
