Cottonwood Update #39: BIG UPDATE!

It has been a long time since I have been an update. The work on the film has not stopped at all though. We have been busy doing some last minute touches on the film with music and sound and getting everything ready for the film festivals. That is the first big part of the update. We have submitted to 10 film festivals so far and plan to submit to many more. These film festivals are all over the country from California to New York.

The way these film festivals work is you submit your film and someone from the festival watches it. If they accept your film they expect you to come to the festival where the film is shown to judges and an audience of people from that area. The film could win awards for all kinds of stuff from acting to cinematography. Some festivals offer prizes such as money or distribution deals.

We will not know if Cottonwood is accepted into any of these festivals for a couple of months so I will keep you updated. Nevertheless it is awesome seeing the final product and everything come together in the end. Now it is time to get this film out to the public and get moving on a new project.

DVD UPDATE

The DVD's have been ordered for everyone who pre-ordered. They should be here in early March. We were a little behind schedule with getting them ordered as we were still doing some last minute editing. They have been ordered though so do not worry. There are some awesome bonus features on the DVD along with the film. For anyone who didn't pre-order one. We have extras so you will be able to order one on the store on pick on up in Windom.

That is the big Cottonwood update. Things have been going great with the film and I am looking forward to what happens with the festivals. I will continue to keep you updated so check in.
