Thanks to everyone who has donated! The support is much appreciated. Today's film story is about a web series called FIVE we made back in 2012. It is so deep down buried in my YouTube channel that it is practically lost in all the content. FIVE is an apocalyptic web series that follows a group of teens who survive a nuclear blast that kills off much of the population. We made 5 episodes (duh). This was extremely early on in my film making career so take the episodes lightly. It is fun to go back and watch because we are all so young. We have came a long long way since this series.
FIVE was the first actual project I did as a film maker. I actually had to put thought and planning into it unlike a lot of the YouTube videos before it. It was also the first project I did where we traveled around Windom and filmed everywhere. There is a lot that I learned from this project and I can confidently say this series made me a better film maker. This was also the first project I did where I worked with the BARC. I will be doing a separate write up on the BARC tomorrow, but this project started off a relationship with Greg and the whole BARC crew that has been going strong for the past 4+ years.
All of the episodes are still on YouTube and so you can watch them all below.
What I learned: Making a series is not easy at all. Go into it expecting the worst and praying for the best.
