Day 17: Hidden Messages in Sundog

Funding is going really well. Huge thanks to everyone who has donated so far. It really means a lot to me and the whole crew. Today I am talking about some hidden messages and images within my 3rd feature film, Sundog. I filled Sundog with secret images and messages to add some interesting elements to it. I wanted it to be something where you had no idea any of it was there so you would have to go back an re watch it. I will be giving away a couple of the secrets today, but I am leaving most of them out. Go back and check out the film and see if you can find the rest.

We will start simple and get harder to spot. This one isn't even really a hidden message or secret. Part way through the film, Kyle is chilling at home watching a YouTube video when he receives a strange message from a mysterious man. That video he is watching is our own YouTube video, 21 Film Parody. Just a little fun thing to throw in.

About halfway through the film Greg is outside of the government building when he makes a phone call. Behind him is a strange symbol. Could that symbol be Ethan Clerc's clothing bran TEEWIN?

Ok now we are getting challenging. In the film the teens flee to Chicago and are tracked down in a Chinese Restaurant. They are caught on surveillance camera. You won't believe who else is there to join them. Ethan and Matt are somewhere in there.

This is getting to the point where you have to have the vision of God to pick out. Check out the name of the TV. If you can't see where this is going, hold a mirror up to it.

Finally at the end of the film during the big shoot out, Alex shoots Mike in the head and the license plate lets you know that plain and simple.

These are fun little things I through in the film. I have only pointed out to you a couple. Go back and try to find more because the film is full of Easter Eggs like the ones I showed you above. None of these really affect the plot at all, but they sure do make you wanna go back and watch again. That's called marketing people ;)

Lesson I learned: There is a lot more to a movie than meets the eye.
