Day 21: My 1st Feature Film
Day 21: My 1st Feature Film
Today's film story is about my 1st feature film, Mousetrap. I rarely talk about this film because of a couple of reasons. This film premiered in May of 2013. I worked on the film in 2012 and 2013. It was my first ever attempt at a longer film. Something I had never done before. I never really talk about it or bring it up because it is just not something I am too proud of. I was young and had little to no experience with longer films. For how old I was and the budget we were working with it is pretty cool, but after doing Mousetrap 2 and Sundog it really gets buried deep down.
Mousetrap is a great story and someday I would actually like to combine Mousetrap and Mousetrap 2 and make a longer running very well done feature film with a Hollywood level budget. Even though I do not talk about it much, I still think it is important to remember how far I have came since I started making films. This is a film I made when I was 13 or 14 years old. We shot it on a little Canon handheld camcorder with no other equipment. I had never done something like this before. So if you would like to see how far I have came as a film maker check out Mousetrap here.
What I learned: Something can be learned from everything you do even if it doesn't turn out perfect.
