THANK YOU SO MUCH! GOAL REACHED!

After a 30 day campaign we have reach our goal of $5000! We are actually over $5000 and more donations keep coming in. I cannot thank everyone who supported this project enough. It means so much to me and the whole film crew. This will be my 4th successful funding campaign for my films and every time it is a journey. Funding is not easy at all. Some people think you just set the goal and sit back. Fundraising is a full time job. You may ask why I continue to do it. Well, it is awesome to get support from friends, family, co-workers, and random people all over the world. Also it is a simple way to get funding for a film. Getting a bunch of support from dozens of people is a lot easier than trying to get a studio to back the film.

That all being said it was a great 30 days of funding. I did 30 days of film stories and it was awesome to write a story each day. Looking back at all of the crazy and exciting moments we have had making movies was super fun and reflecting on these stories was a good challenge for me. I cannot wait to see what stories come out of Cottonwood.

So now that funding is over you may wonder what is next. Well we are busy at pre-production from writing the script to budgeting to location scouting. There is so much that needs to happen before we start to film in June. We plan to film throughout the month of June and do anything we missed in July. The movie is planned to be released in Winter 2017/18. Either in December or January. Again, I cannot thank the backers enough for making this project happen! The journey starts now and I cannot wait to get working as hard as possible on this film. We have a great cast and crew on this project and I assure you that this film will be my biggest and best yet.

Thanks so much to all of the backers, the sponsors, family, friends, everyone who shared the posts, and to everyone who has believed in me since I first picked up a camera back in 2011.

The journey starts now!
