Cottonwood Update #2: Storyboarding

With the script being done and being refined I have started story boarding the film. I plan to board important and/ or difficult scenes. Not all of them as there are scenes that are simple enough that I don't need a board. The process is very slow, but important. It is per-visualizing the movie. I plan out camera shots, movements, backgrounds, and more. Some of the storyboards will be detailed while others will be stick figures. It all depends on the exact scene.

We have a little over a month until we start filming in June. There is a lot that needs to happen in between now and then. The script has been sent off to all of the actors and the crew is busy learning the new equipment we have gotten. Some of the new equipment includes new lights and new audio gear. I really want to step up the production value of this film and so getting some good lights and audio gear was very important to me. The film is going to be lit with LED lights. They are extremely portable and lightweight. Easy to move and can run off batteries which is perfect as we are filming a lot of this movie outdoors.

Stay tuned for weekly updates!
