Cottonwood Update #3: Cottonwood Police
A lot of progress has been made since the last time I posted. I have been working with the cast and crew to nail down the script and I have started or breakdown everything we will need from props to locations. There is a lot of important details in this film that will make it as realistic as possible. I have been doing a lot of research on police stations and police language to try and really nail down the look and dialogue for the film. Since this is a police crime film it is important to have realistic and correct lingo that police would use in real life. Another challenge that has arose is we will need to build our own police station set which has led me to do a lot of research on the layout of a police station.
I also designed a logo for the Cottonwood Police Department which is featured above. This logo will show up in the film a lot from being on the police uniforms to being on important documents in the film. I am really trying to make sure that every little detail is taken care of before we start filming. This is something I have not been great at in the past. I have never focused this much on the little things and that is one of the many reasons I believe this film will be the best I have ever made.
Stay tuned for more updates and important info about Cottonwood!
