Cottonwood Update #9: The House
Filming has been going great. The past couple weeks have been crazy busy. Things will even get more busy as we get into the middle of the month. We have some amazing locations in this film like I mentioned in a previous blog. One of the locations is an abandoned house that Peggy Jurgens and her family were kind enough to let us film in. I cannot thank her and her family enough for their support and allowing us to film on their land. People like her are what makes the community of Windom so amazing. So this house is featured in the film and it was very cool filming in it.
Some cool red lighting in a room in the house. This place is just so great with the peeling wallpaper and old furniture.
Filming in some high grass outside of the abandoned house. It was a challenge to light this place, but I really think we nailed it. Spent around 9 hours filming this scene.
Above is an interior shot of the kitchen and main door into the house. You can really get a feel for how great this location is for the film. Very cool!
The crew from the first nite of filming at the abandoned house. We have one more film date at this house which involves a lot more people.
Filming continues and is going extremely well. We have a lot to do, but I am confident we can get it all done and done very well. We have such an amazing cast and crew for this film along with a community that is behind the film 100%. Until next time!
